Rosemary Herb

Rosemary Herb (rosmarinus officinalis)

For issues with circulation and more, Rosemary herb stands out for its anti-oxidant and mildly stimulating properties. While it is traditionally well known to enhance brain function, improving cerebral blood flow, and memory retention, it also has a pronounced effect on the following systems; digestive, genito-urinary, respiratory and nervous systems.

The unique chemistry of Rosemary enhances circulation, digestion and reproductive health. Rosemary contains bioflavonoids, essential oils, saponins, bitter constituents and minerals. These enable Rosemary to act not only on the circulation, but also assists in the clearing mucous in the respiratory system (saponins), and helps stimulate digestion (bitters & essential oils). It is well known as a traditional culinary herb, for good reason. Rosemary’s essential oil and bitters contents alleviates poor digestion, and well as helps to stimulate bile flow and prodcution in the liver. This can also help to decrease gall stones and liver congestion. Known to increase warmth in the body it is great for anyone suffering from sluggish digestion, and also accompanied by fatigue.

Rosemary helps to increase the digestive and circulatory force by stimulating overall vigour of the body’s chi or life force. It helps tremendously with depression, not only of the elderly with lack of cerebral blood flow, but great for the younger ones in society today that we are losing to fake diagnoses of ADD/ADHD, and over-prescribing of anti-depressants (SSRI’s) that are known to have flouride in the core of the drug molecular structure, and turn users into veritable suicidal homicidal zombies, or at least increases the tendency to be dissociative state – not being fully present and/or aware of ones surroundings. More importantly, these drugs blunt and shut down your connection to your emotional life.

Rosemary is anti-depressant, and was traditionally known (ref Swiss herbalist Otto Brunfels)* to increase ‘courage and pluck’, by making ones disposition a little more Yang, in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) terminology. Rosemary, and other herbs should be a much preferrrable approach to mood/brain function than a toxic by-product of the mining industry, now shouldnt it?

Oats is an example of another herb that would complement the actions of Rosmary for depression, anxiety and overall mood support. Rosemary enhances the capacity for mental and physical work, improves vision, reduces inflammation, and helps restore the brain and glandular system, especially the adrenals and pancreas. Caution to those with serious kidney underfunction (get your eGFR checked if in doubt) as Rosemay does stimulate the kidneys. (or Yin Deficiency with empty heat)*

Siberian ginseng would go great with Rosemary both for mood, libido support and the ubiquitous adrenal exhaustion. When concentrating the cardio-vascular benefits, Hawthorn, Ginkgo and Motherwort herbs come to mind and would fit nicely with the profile and actions of Rosemary.

Speaking of mood, Rosemary has also significant benefit for those, due to stress, poor circulation, or aging, have decreased libido. Rosemary’s effect on both circulation of the periphery, and especially to the gonads ensures its beneficial effects to shore up flagging sexual function.  It is good for both impotence and infertility, and PMS with depression.

Finally, as Rosemary’s oil content is significant, it is also a strong anti-baterial, anti-viral and anti fungal. So this can be used in support of infection issues anywhere in the body, especially the urinary and respiratory systems.

Rosemary is best in tincture form, 1-4ml 3 times a day depending on age, body weight and other pre-existing medical conditions. You will have to determine the dose that is right for you, based on why you are taking it, and whether on it’s own or with other herbs. Rosemary has minimal toxicity issues so it can be taken for longer periods of time, e.g several weeks to several months, then take a break. Enjoy!

Vaccine fraud exposed: Measles and mumps making a huge comeback because vaccines are designed to fail, say Merck virologists

Monday, November 11, 2013 by Mike Adams,Natural

(NaturalNews) Disclaimer: I am not an opponent of the theory of inoculation. Nor am I opposed to science. What I am opposed to is fraudulent science, and that’s what this article is all about.
Measles and mumps are making a huge comeback in the United States, but doctors and journalists all make the same critical error in understanding why. They blame “parents who don’t vaccinate their kids” as the cause, but the real cause — as revealed by whistleblowing scientists working for top vaccine manufacturers — is that measles and mumps vaccines are designed to fail from the start.
Scientific fraud, it turns out, is an inherent part of the vaccine industry.
How do we know? Because whistleblowers who worked in the industry have found the courage to speak out and tell the truth. These people are the Edward Snowdens of the vaccine industry.

Merck falsified its mumps vaccine efficacy results, say former employees

Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test results to fabricate a “95% efficacy rate” say former Merck virologists Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski in their shocking False Claims Act document.
As I wrote last year, ” In order to do this, Merck spiked the blood test with animal antibodies in order to artificially inflate the appearance of immune system antibodies.”
From the False Claims Act complaint:
Merck also added animal antibodies to blood samples to achieve more favorable test results, though it knew that the human immune system would never produce such antibodies, and that the antibodies created a laboratory testing scenario that “did not in any way correspond to, correlate with, or represent real life … virus neutralization in vaccinated people,” according to the complaint.
Merck, of course, denies the claims, just like all the drug companies deny ever engaging in bribery, or using children for medical experiments, orghostwriting “scientific” studies that get published in science journals, or conspiring to suppress competing generic drugs and so on. Yet, as history has shown, all the top drug companies are routinely engaged in widespread criminal behavior, including conspiracy, fraud, bribery and more.
Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski are simply telling us what we already suspected: that Merck falsifies the efficacy of their vaccines in order to make them appear to be working when they actually aren’t. Why would a drug company do such a thing? Consider the fact that Merck has both motive and opportunity.

Why drug companies design vaccines to fail

The vaccination dogma is so deeply embedded in the minds of doctors, journalists and the public, that any time a communicable disease starts to spread, everybody immediately leaps to the false conclusion that “more vaccines are needed.” This is very nearly a Pavlovian reaction in the minds of the brainwashed masses. “Spread of disease = lack of vaccines.”
Thus, the spread of disease actually boosts vaccine sales. Epidemics are a “marketing tool” to create demand for a profitable product that people can be convinced to purchase over and over again, year after year, whether it works or not.
And how do you create that demand? You engineer an epidemic by making sure your own vaccine products don’t work. Fear drives people to get vaccinated, so fear is used as the primary marketing tool.
But why hasn’t the con been exposed yet? Why haven’t scientists announced that most of the children afflicted with measles and mumps are the very same children who were vaccinated? One study showed that 97 percent of children afflicted with mumps had already been vaccinated against mumps.
In 2010, a mumps outbreak spread in New Jersey, and 77 percent of children afflicted with mumps had already been vaccinated against mumps.
The same is true with measles. Most measles outbreaks spread among those who have been vaccinated against measles.
When a swine flu outbreak swept through Britain in 2010, it turns out that 70 percent of those infected had already been vaccinated against swine flu.
Far from protecting people from disease outbreaks, vaccines often promote the pandemic they claim to prevent.

Vaccines are ASSUMED to work, not proven to work

Why does the industry keep getting away with this fraud? The answer is because nobody ever compares infection rates of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated people. They all just ASSUME vaccines work because that is the dogma of modern medicine. Assumption becomes “fact” in the minds of brainwashed medical experts.
This is one of the tenants of the fraud-based medical system: Vaccines are assumed to work 100% of the time, without exception, and anyone who questions this is immediately branded a heretic. There is no tolerance whatsoever for any critical thinking or scientific inquiry when it comes to vaccines. And God forbid if you bring up the issue of mercury in vaccines, as the vaccine industry apparently believes that mercury magically becomes non-toxic when used in vaccines and injected into the body.
Thus, vaccines that fail (due to low efficacy) are never detected or even questioned. The fraud continues right under our noses. So a vaccine company can easily put a mumps or measles vaccine into circulation that is designed to fail while actually weakening the immune system from the mercury, formaldehyde, MSG and aluminum that are still used in vaccines today.
This actually causes an increase in the spread of these diseases, resulting in more alarmist media stories about the “spread of measles and mumps” which then results in more parents rushing to CVS pharmacies to get their children injected with yet another useless vaccine.
How’s that for an insidious profit model?
But it’s even worse than that. While some vaccines are simply designed to fail, other vaccines aredesigned to cause outbreaks of disease.

Some vaccines are actively spiked with live viruses to cause pandemics

As Natural News previously exposed, the vaccine industry was caught shipping live viruses to vaccine manufacturers of flu vaccines in 18 countries.
This was done by none other than Baxter International, Inc. one of the top suppliers of “weakened” flu virus material for use in vaccines. Except in this case, they weren’t weakened. Vaccines made with this material simply gave people the flu!
In the realm of desktop computing, many people believe that anti-virus companies write and release viruses in order to cause fear and boost demand for their products. It’s an incredibly effective way to sell more products. All you have to do is pay a group of hackers a couple of million dollars to keep writing viruses that get covered in the mainstream media. The scarier the story, the more people buy anti-virus software. I happen to know firsthand that McAfee uses dishonest scare tactics to sell their security software services, claiming your website is infected when it actually isn’t.
Vaccine companies, it turns out, use the same tactic. From time to time, they allow live viruses into the flu shots, thereby spreading influenza and causing the very kind of fear and panic that drives people into pharmacies to buy more vaccines.
The WHO and CDC are all part of it too, stirring up irrational fear and panic like they did with the H5N1 virus a few years ago. It turns out that WHO panel members receive kickbacks from drug companies to engineer these anti-science scare stories.
During the swine flu pandemic, it was revealed that 5 of the 15 members of a WHO advisory panel had financial ties to the very same drug companies who would financially benefit from the pandemic. That’s called “conflict of interest” in any other industry, yet for some reason it is fully tolerated in the fraudulent vaccine industry.
In 2010, an outstanding article by Dr. Gary Null explained much of this in excruciating detail. Read that article here on Natural News.
The deeper you dig into the vaccine industry and its longstanding practice of scientific fraud, misrepresentation, fear mongering and “medical false flags,” the more you realize just what a total con the vaccine industry has become.

Magnesium Deficiency Symptoms and Diagnosis

Magnesium Thirst Magnesium Hunger

We thirst for magnesium rich water.

Magnesium deficiency is often misdiagnosed because it does not show up in blood tests – only 1% of the body’s magnesium is stored in the blood.

Most doctors and laboratories don’t even include magnesium status in routine blood tests. Thus, most doctors don’t know when their patients are deficient in magnesium, even though studies show that the majority of Americans are deficient in magnesium. Consider Dr. Norman Shealy’s statements, “Every known illness is associated with a magnesium deficiency” and that, “magnesium is the most critical mineral required for electrical stability of every cell in the body. A magnesium deficiency may be responsible for more diseases than any other nutrient.” The truth he states exposes a gapping hole in modern medicine that explains a good deal about iatrogenic death and disease. Because magnesium deficiency is largely overlooked, millions of Americans suffer needlessly or are having their symptoms treated with expensive drugs when they could be cured with magnesium supplementation.

One has to recognize the signs of magnesium thirst or hunger on their own since allopathic medicine is lost in this regard. It is really something much more subtle then hunger or thirst but it is comparable. In a world though where doctors and patients alike do not even pay attention to thirst and important issues of hydration it is not hopeful that we will find many recognizing and paying attention to magnesium thirst and hunger which is a dramatic way of expressing the concept of magnesium deficiency.

Few people are aware of the enormous role magnesium plays in our bodies. Magnesium is by far the most important mineral in the body, After oxygen, water, and basic food, magnesium may be the most important element needed by our bodies, vitally important yet hardly known. It is more important than calcium, potassium or sodium and regulates all three of them. Millions suffer daily from magnesium deficiency without even knowing it

In fact there happens to be a relationship between what we perceive as thirst and deficiencies in electrolytes. I remember a person asking, “Why am I dehydrated and thirsty when I drink so much water?” Thirst can mean not only lack of water but it can also mean that one is not getting enough nutrients and electrolytes. Magnesium, Potassium, Bicarbonate, Chloride and Sodium are some principle examples and that is one of the reasons magnesium chloride is so useful.

A man with magnesium deficiency Magnesium Torment (Deficiency)

You know all those years when doctors used to tell their patients its all in your heads were years the medical profession was showing its ignorance. It is a torment to be magnesium deficient on one level or another. Even if it’s for the enthusiastic sport person whose athletic performance is down magnesium deficiency will disturb sleep and background stress levels and a host of other things that reflect on the quality of life. Doctors have not been using the appropriate test for magnesium – their serum blood tests just distort their perceptions. Magnesium has been off their radar screens through the decades that magnesium deficiencies have snowballed.

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency

The first symptoms of deficiency can be subtle – as most magnesium is stored in the tissues, leg cramps, foot pain, or muscle ‘twitches’ can be the first sign. Other early signs of deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness. As magnesium deficiency worsens, numbness, tingling, seizures, personality changes, abnormal heart rhythms, and coronary spasms can occur.

A full outline of magnesium deficiency was beautifully presented in a recent article by Dr. Sidney Baker. “Magnesium deficiency can affect virtually every organ system of the body. With regard to skeletal muscle, one may experience twitches, cramps, muscle tension, muscle soreness, including back aches, neck pain, tension headaches and jaw joint (or TMJ) dysfunction. Also, one may experience chest tightness or a peculiar sensation that he can’t take a deep breath. Sometimes a person may sigh a lot.”

“Symptoms involving impaired contraction of smooth muscles include constipation; urinary spasms; menstrual cramps; difficulty swallowing or a lump in the throat-especially provoked by eating sugar; photophobia, especially difficulty adjusting to oncoming bright headlights in the absence of eye disease; and loud noise sensitivity from stapedius muscle tension in the ear.”

“Other symptoms and signs of magnesium deficiency and discuss laboratory testing for this common condition. Continuing with the symptoms of magnesium deficiency, the central nervous system is markedly affected. Symptoms include insomnia, anxiety, hyperactivity and restlessness with constant movement, panic attacks, agoraphobia, and premenstrual irritability. Magnesium deficiency symptoms involving the peripheral nervous system include numbness, tingling, and other abnormal sensations, such as zips, zaps and vibratory sensations.”

“Symptoms or signs of the cardiovascular system include palpitations, heart arrhythmias, and angina due to spasms of the coronary arteries, high blood pressure and mitral valve prolapse. Be aware that not all of the symptoms need to be present to presume magnesium deficiency; but, many of them often occur together. For example, people with mitral valve prolapse frequently have palpitations, anxiety, panic attacks and premenstrual symptoms. People with magnesium deficiency often seem to be “uptight.” Other general symptoms include a salt craving, both carbohydrate craving and carbohydrate intolerance, especially of chocolate, and breast tenderness.”

Magnesium is needed by every cell in the body including those of the brain and is one of the most important minerals when considering supplementation because of its vital role in hundreds of enzyme systems and functions related to reactions in cell metabolism, as well as being essential for the synthesis of proteins, for the utilization of fats and carbohydrates. Magnesium is needed not only for the production of specific detoxification enzymes but is also important for energy production related to cell detoxification. A magnesium deficiency can affect virtually every system of the body.

Water rich in magnesium can prevent magnesium deficiency Like water we need magnesium everyday. There is an eternal need for magnesium as well as water and when magnesium is present in water life and health are enhanced.

One of the principle reason doctors write millions of prescriptions for tranquilizers each year is the nervousness, irritability, and jitters largely brought on by inadequate diets lacking magnesium.Persons only slightly deficient in magnesium become irritable, highly-strung, and sensitive to noise, hyper-excitable, apprehensive and belligerent. If the deficiency is more severe or prolonged, they may develop twitching, tremors, irregular pulse, insomnia, muscle weakness, jerkiness and leg and foot cramps.

If magnesium is severely deficient, the brain is particularly affected. Clouded thinking, confusion, disorientation, marked depression and even the terrifying hallucinations of delirium tremens are largely brought on by a lack of this nutrient and remedied when magnesium is given. Because large amounts of calcium are lost in the urine when magnesium is undersupplied, the lack of this nutrient indirectly becomes responsible for much rampant tooth decay, poor bone development, osteoporosis and slow healing of broken bones and fractures. With vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), magnesium helps to reduce and dissolve calcium phosphate kidney stones.

Magnesium deficiency may be a common factor associated with insulin resistance. Symptoms of MS that are also symptoms of magnesium deficiency include muscle spasms, weakness, twitching, muscle atrophy,  an inability to control the bladder, nystagmus (rapid eye movements), hearing loss, and osteoporosis.  People with MS have higher rates of epilepsy than controls.  Epilepsy has also been linked to magnesium deficiencies.[1]

Another good list of early warning symptoms is:

Suggestive early warning signs of magnesium insufficiency: Physical and mental fatigue Persistent under-eye twitch Tension in the upper back, shoulders and neck Headaches Pre-menstrual fluid retention and/or breast tenderness

Possible manifestations of magnesium deficiency include: Low energy Fatigue Weakness Confusion Nervousness Anxiousness Irritability Seizures (and tantrums) Poor digestion PMS and hormonal imbalances Inability to sleep Muscle tension, spasm and cramps Calcification of organs Weakening of the bones Abnormal heart rhythm

Severe magnesium deficiency can result in low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia). Magnesium deficiency is also associated with low levels of potassium in the blood (hypokalemia). Magnesium levels drop at night, leading to poor REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep cycles and unrefreshed sleep. Headaches, blurred vision, mouth ulcers, fatigue and anxiety are also early signs of depletion.

We hear all the time about how heart disease is the number one health crisis in the country, about how high blood pressure is the “silent killer”, and about how ever increasing numbers of our citizens are having their lives and the lives of their families destroyed by diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and a host of other chronic diseases

Signs of severe magnesium deficiency include:

Extreme thirst  Extreme hunger  Frequent urination  Sores or bruises that heal slowly Dry, itchy skin Unexplained weight loss Blurry vision that changes from day to day Unusual tiredness or drowsiness Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet Frequent or recurring skin, gum, bladder or vaginal yeast infections

But wait a minute, aren’t those the same symptoms for diabetes? Many people have diabetes for about 5 years before they show strong symptoms. By that time, some people already have eye, kidney, gum or nerve damage caused by the deteriorating condition of their cells due to insulin resistance and magnesium deficiency. Dump some mercury and arsenic on the mixture of etiologies and pronto we have the disease condition we call diabetes.

Magnesium deficiency is synonymous with diabetes and is at the root of many if not all cardiovascular problems.

Magnesium deficiency is synonymous with diabetes and is at the root of many if not all cardiovascular problems.

Magnesium deficiency is a predictor of diabetes and heart disease both; diabetics both need more magnesium and lose more magnesium than most people. In two new studies, in both men and women, those who consumed the most magnesium in their diet were least likely to develop type 2 diabetes, according to a report in the January 2006 issue of the journal Diabetes Care. Until now, very few large studies have directly examined the long-term effects of dietary magnesium on diabetes. Dr. Simin Liu of the Harvard Medical School and School of Public Health in Boston says, “Our studies provided some direct evidence that greater intake of dietary magnesium may have a long-term protective effect on lowering risk,” said Liu, who was involved in both studies.

The thirst of diabetes is part of the body’s response to excessive urination. The excessive urination is the body’s attempt to get rid of the extra glucose in the blood. This excessive urination causes the increased thirst. But we have to look at what is causing this level of disharmony. We have to probe deeper into layers of cause. The body needs to dump glucose because of increasing insulin resistance and that resistance is being fueled directly by magnesium deficiency, which makes toxic insults more damaging to the tissues at the same time.

When diabetics get too high blood sugars, the body creates “ketones” as a by-product of breaking down fats. These ketones cause blood acidity which causes “acidosis” of the blood, leading to Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), This is a very dangerous condition that can lead to coma and death. It is also called “diabetic acidosis”, “ketosis”, “ketoacidosis” or “diabetic coma”. DKA is a common way for new Type 1 diabetics to be diagnosed. If they fail to seek medical advice on symptoms like urination, which is driving thirst they can die of DKA.

Oral magnesium supplements reduce erythrocyte[2] dehydration.[3] In general optimal balances of electrolytes are necessary to maintain the best possible hydration. Diabetic thirst is initiated specifically by magnesium deficiency with relative calcium excess in the cells. Even water, our most basic nutrient starts having a hard time getting into the cells with more going out through the kidneys.

Autism and Magnesium Deficiency

When dealing with autism spectrum and other neurological disorders in children it is important to know the signs of low magnesium: restless, can’t keep still, body rocking, grinding teeth, hiccups, noise sensitive, poor attention span, poor concentration, irritable, aggressive, ready to explode, easily stressed. When it comes to children today we need to assume a large magnesium deficiency for several reasons. 1) The foods they are eating are stripped of magnesium because foods in general, as we shall see below are declining in mineral content in an alarming way. 2) The foods many children eat are highly processed junk foods that do not provide real nutrition to the body. 3) Because most children on the spectrum are not absorbing the minerals they need even when present in the gut. Magnesium absorption is dependent on intestinal health, which is compromised totally in leaky gut syndromes and other intestinal problems that the majority of autism syndrome disorders. 4) Because the oral supplements doctors rely on are not easily absorbed, because they are not in the right form and because magnesium in general is not administered easily orally.

Modern medicine is supposed to help people not hurt them but with their almost total ignorance of magnesium doctors end up hurting more than they help for many of the medical interventions drive down magnesium levels when they should be driving them up. Many if not most pharmaceutical drugs drive magnesium levels into very dangerous zones and surgery done without increasing magnesium levels is much more dangerous then surgery done with.

The foundation of medical arrogance is actually medical ignorance and the only reason ignorance and arrogance rule the playing field of medicine is a greed lust for power and money. Human nature seems to be at its worst in modern medicine when it should be at its best. It is sad that people have to suffer needlessly and extraordinarily tragic that allopathic medicine has turned its back on the Hippocratic Oath and all that it means.

[2] Red blood cells are also known as RBCs, red blood corpuscles (an archaic term), haematids or erythrocytes (from Greek erythros for “red” and kytos for “hollow”, with cyte translated as “cell” in modern usage). The capitalized term Red Blood Cells is the proper name in the US for erythrocytes in storage solution used in transfusion medicine.

Judge defeats challenge to ‘medical gag order’ on health risks from fracking

Fracking Article Oct 31 2013 RT

Pennsylvania authorities have denied a doctor the right to challenge a so-called “medical gag rule” that prevents him and other physicians from warning the public about the health dangers associated with fracking.

Dr. Alfonso Rodriguez of Dallas, Pennsylvania filed a lawsuit  against the state last year, asserting that Act 13 of 2012 forces  medical professionals to enter “a vague confidentiality  agreement” that prevents them from having a completely honest  dialogue with patients.

Hydraulic fracking involves drilling through underground shale  rock with the help of chemicals – many of them toxic – to release  natural gas. Earlier this month, a research team out of Duke  University examined Pennsylvania wastewater and found what they  described as “alarmingly” high levels of radioactivity, salts,  metals, and other potentially harmful sediments.

Yet the “medical gag rule” forbids doctors like Rodriguez  from going into depth about the health problems that chemicals  from fracking can cause. Critics have said the bill’s passage,  and the court’s refusal to grant Dr. Rodriguez the right to speak  freely with his patients, is an indication of just how entrenched  the oil and gas lobby is in state politics.

Rodriguez specializes in renal diseases, hypertension, and  advanced diabetes. He “has recently treated patients directly  exposed to high-volume hydraulic fracturing fluid as the result  of well blowouts,” including a patient “with a complicated  diagnosis with low platelets, anemia, rash and acute renal  failure that required extensive hemodialysis and exposure to  chemotherapeutic agents,” the complaint stated, as quoted by  Courthouse News.

For fulfilling his true responsibility as a doctor, though,  Rodriguez allegedly risks violating the American Medical  Association’s Principles of Medical Ethics, an infraction that  could cost him his medical license.

That may well happen, because the state requires professional  healthcare providers “to enter into, upon request by gas drilling company or vendor, a vague confidentiality agreement to maintain the specific identity any amount of any chemicals claimed to be a trade secret by a gas drilling company and/or its vendor as a condition precedent to receiving such information deemed unnecessary to provide competent medical treatment to plaintiff’s patient,” according to the complaint.

Despite Rodriguez’s complaint that the provision is a violation  of his First and 14th Amendment rights, and multiple briefs filed  by medical associations on his behalf, a federal judge dismissed  the suit upon deciding the issue was “too conjectural” to  stand.

Although plaintiff alleges that he requires the kind of  information contemplated under the act for the treatment of his  patients, he does not allege that he has been in a situation  where he needed or attempted to obtain such information, despite  the fact that he alleges that he has treated patients injured by  hydraulic fracturing fluid in the past,” wrote Judge A.  Richard Caputo. “Similarly, plaintiff does not allege that he  has been in a position where he was required to agree to any sort  of confidentiality agreement under the act.”

The decision goes on to state that any attempt Rodriguez made to  notify his patients of Act 13’s impact were “merely a  prophylactic measure to ease his fears of potential future  harm.”

Using Herbal Adaptogens Before the Winter Season

Pre-season prepping for winter: Enhancing immunity for prevention and stimulating immunity for infection.

This is a time in the late summer, turning to fall, the weather gets colder and wetter, and we brace for the effects of cold outdoor temperatures upon our bodies (if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere or other cold-extreme place on the planet)

So, we at WhiteSageNaturals suggest it could be now time to consider taking an Herbal Adaptogenic Immune Formula. An adaptogen is any herb that helps one to increase resistance to stress, be it physical, mental, emotional, or sometimes spiritual.

Adaptogens enhance not only immunity, but also the endocrine, or glandular system, which are; the adrenals, female and male reproductive glands, pancreas, pineal, pituitary, thymus and thyroid. Adaptogens typically improve mental and physical performance, enhance libido and increase oxygenation to the entire body. Generally one can take adaptogens throughout the entire fall and winter seasons.

Here are some good herbs to consider for strengthening on many levels.

There are a handful of Ginsengs:

Siberian (Eleutherococcus senticosus, or Eleuthero for short), North American (Panax quinquefolius), Brazilian (Suma), Panax ginseng (Panax ginseng), which is usually called Chinese ginseng, or if it has gone through a steaming process, where the root changes colour, it is called Korean Red Ginseng, but it is the same species as Chinese. The steam process make the root more stimulating, heating, yang and invigorating, so Korean is not typically a type of Ginseng one taking as long term as the others because of its stimulating nature.

Other adaptogens include Rhodiola, Schizandra, Codonopsis, Maca and Ashwagandha.

Mushrooms could also be considered, as immune-modulating adaptogens. These can include but are not limited to Chaga, Reishi, Cordyceps, and Maitake.

For example Aloha Medicinals has Chaga Gold, a high quality Resihi blend called Gano Ultra, and more concentrated blend called Immune Assist Crtitical Care for more serious immune support. Dosing can range from1-2 caps a day (preferably empty stomach 15-20 mintues before meals) up to 4-6 caps a day, dependgin on body weight and debility.

Tinctures are also a good way of taking herbs in general and adaptogens specifically, as tinctures, which are a combination of water and alcohol. This process enables excellent extraction of the herbal constituents and high therapeutic benefit of the herbal constituents.

Generally for adults, 4-5 droppersful, (that is 80-100 drops) or 3.2ml to 4 ml in a tablespoon of water, 15-20 minutes before meals, 3 x/day. This dose could go lower based on a person with lower body weight or a higher dose weighing more than 150lbs.

Results will be heightened immune strength and improved resistance to stress, which may translate into any number of positive improvements including better energy, elevated mood and improved sleep patterns.

Along with Adaptogens, one can also consider ensuring a high quality diet, preferably organic. Some supplements may be considered as well, which should include at least Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Zinc. Vitamin C is vital for us all. Knowing your own personal levels of Vitamin D may depend on a blood test, but taking (for an adult) 1,000-3,000 IU on a daily basis would not be a bad idea for those in more northern climate zones.

Getting enough sleep, fresh air, adequate water intake, and exercise will also boost over-all vitality, and will help support and balance the immune system.

In summary, using herbal adaptogens will help you stay well during the fall and winter seasons, and give you more vigour to enjoy yourself as well. So enjoy the outdoors!
